Sociology and

the Essentiality of social Act

The essentiality of society and that of individual are both invalid in socialogy; what is of principality . The
most notable is the between natural social act distinction and human events lies in the fact that the human
being is an active being, hence his volitional acts constitute the unseparable part of the human acts. It follows
that the most imporctant characterization of the humanities is the analysis of human wolition; this is absent
from the natural sciences.

Moreover, the man has accen to his own thought: he thinks about himself. The subject-matter of the social
sciences is the `social act' which make up a part of the volitional acts of individuals.

Contrary to the views of most philosophers, it is impractical to draw a template of the effects of the surface
of the volitional act on to its inner core. The only way to do this is to have access to the mind and thought of the
acting individual.

Based upon this method, one may claim that the descriptive social sciences are practical only in the form of
an objective analysis, regardlers of the effect of cultural or religious beliefs. It is becamse that the essence of
the volitional act finds expression in objectivity in so far as there is access to the mind and thought of the acting
individual. The most important objection raised against this method is its subjectivity; the answer is that the
criterion of objectivity is only its abstractnen from
