RIHU participation in the international conference of Islamology in Moscow, Russia

An international conference under the title of “Scattered” and “Organized”: Sense-making Strategies of Islamic Culture held at the Institute of Philosophy of Russian Academy of Sciences on the 26-27th of September, 2013, with the support of the Islamic Culture Research Foundation of Moscow, Research Institute of Hawzah and University and Research Institute of philosophy and wisdom. Hojjatolislam Dr. Ali Shirvani Harandi; the faculty member of Research Institute of Hawzah and University, Hojjatolislam Dr. Abdolhusseyn Khosrowpanah; director of Research Institute of philosophy and wisdom and Dr. Shahram Pazouki; the faculty member of Research Institute of philosophy and wisdom were three Iranian instructor who participated in the conference.
The organizers of the conference depicted its main idea in the following words: “Idea of the conference was to explore different fields of Islamic culture and Islamic thought such as Figh, doctrine, philosophy, philology, Qur’ānic sciences, history, music, fine arts, etc. At the conference it is supposed to discuss a number of items connected with different aspects of Islamic culture, in order to reveal how a unified and well-coordinated conception of a spiritual world and existence arouses from the variety of schools and approaches. In addition to Iranian speakers of the conference twenty other speakers raised their views on issues like Ẓāhir-bāṭin, tashbīh-tanzīh and ta'avil-tafsir. Among them we can mention the following people: Andrey Smirnov, Rudolf Sukiyaynen, Dmitry Frolov, Yanis Eshots, Maytham al‑Janabi, Ruzana Pskhu , Ilshat Nasyrov , Yulia Federova and Natalya Prigarina.
It should be noted that at the opening ceremony of the conference; Ali Sanei charge d'affaires of Iran's embassy in Russia emphasized the importance of scientific endeavors of thinkers in constructing human culture and stressed the support of I.R.I from research projects in the field of Islamic studies.
Also Hamid Hadavi, Director of the Islamic Culture Research Foundation, announced the foundation's support for the research projects in the fields of culture and Islamic science and the development of Islamology in Russia.
