A Board of German Scholars Visit RIHU

On April 18th a group of German scholars including some European Islamologists paid visit to Research Institute of Hawzah & University.
According to RIHU Public Relations (PR), during their visit to RIHU, this board of scholars, who have been invited by Islamic Culture and Relations Organization to visit Iran, learned about RIHU activities as well as its research methods and topics.
The German delegation comprised Prof. Jessica Ginahch, professor of International History, Peace, and War Studies from faculty of Islamology, Cologne University, Germany; Dr. Zabine Hirat, professor of Art History and member of Prussian CulturalHeritageFoundation, Germany; Prof. Albert Hoffheinz, professor of Orientalism and Islamology from Oslo University, Norway; Dr Seyyed Mahdi Hassani Riazi, professor of Iranology and Persian Literature from Cologne University, Germany; Dr Günter Overt, professor of Islamology, Dresden University, Germany; and Elhakam Sukhni, MA in Islamology, Osnabrug University, Germany.
During the meeting, Hojjatol-Islam Dr Saeedi-Roshan, director of RIHU, Ayatollah Qaravi, Dean of the Research Center of Behavioral Sciences, Hojjatol-Islam Hassan Aqa-Nazari, Dean of the Research Center of Social Sciences, Hojjatol-Islam Dr Seyyed Hadi Arabi, Deputy Director for Research, Education, and Technology, and Dr Abdollah Tavakkoli, Deputy Director for Development of Management & Human Resources represented RIHU.
At the beginning of the meeting, Hojjatol-Islam Dr Saeedi-Roshan, upon greeting the guests, gave a brief introduction of RIHU. Then, deans of the research centers of behavioral, Islamic, and social sciences briefly reported on the activities of the respective research centers.
Afterwards, the visitors, expressing their satisfaction for visiting Qom as the center of Shiite Science, posed questions concerning philosophical issues and Islamic perspective on peace, human creation, and Art, which were answered by their counterparts in RIHU.
