The present study adopting an educational approach aims to succinctly present the most important issues in the field of money and banking within an Islamic framework for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The main strengths of this research, as compared to the other similar works, are as follows. First, in contrast to other works that usually focus on Islamic banking, this study discusses important issues regarding the status of money in the Islamic framework (e.g., money creation or laws of credit money) and then deals with banking issues. Second, more resources are presented for further study at the end of each chapter. Third, the study covers the money and banking issues based on the comments of the famous jurists of the Imamiyah and the Guardian Council in accordance with the laws against the bankruptcy practice of banks. Accordingly, they can be applied in Iran’s banking system. Finally, in addition to the theoretical discussions of money and Islamic banking, the book also addresses their operational and applied dimensions.
