The present study aims at analyzing the following question: Based on which model is the Quran’s revelatory discourse? Language in the sense of conveying meaning and truth by replacing words is a contractual system between form and meaning with the diverse roles in human society. God also conveyed his message to people by the same tool; therefore, it is appropriate to investigate the language of the Quran. Does the Quran have a single language or multiple languages? Is the Quran language the same as the common language used by the public or a special language? Can the Quran language be considered as scientific, philosophical, mystical, artistic, decoded, and symbolic?

The present study seeks to respond to these and the same questions. To this end, the concept of language, its various functions, the relationship between the word and meaning, and the philosophy of language are first discussed. Then, the Quran language is more closely investigated, the nature of Quranic language is examined from two external and internal perspectives, and the challenges of the present era exposed to the religious thoughts are then considered.
