The topic “Muḥkam and Mutashābih” is one of the most fundamental issues of the Quranic sciences, which is required by the commentators and necessary for Tafsir. From one perspective, this topic is one of the Tafsir fundamentals, and it is one of the Tafsir rules from another perspective. The most important issues to be discussed in terms of Muḥkam and Mutashābih are their exact definition, the determination of their scope, the interpretability or non-interpretability of Mutashābih verses, the quality of Tafsir and exegesis of Mutashābihs, the meaning of the Muqaṭṭaʿāt, the philosophy of Tashāboh in some verses of the Quran and, finally, the knowledge of exegesis for the Mutashābih verses. The present book is a relatively comprehensive research study filled with novelty, which aims to address the fundamental Muḥkam and Mutashābih questions in order to fill the existing gaps.
