Throughout the history, the Holy Quran Tafsir has always been a concern for various Islamic schools of thought with different attitudes and beliefs, leading to various Tafsir trends. Although, from one perspective, such diversity and variety represents the glory and majesty of this divine book and its intertwined dimensions and layers, the unidirectional and sometimes unsystematic views to these trends has always been a concern for scholars committed to protecting the supreme divine purposes.

The present book is the result of a widespread scientific considerations of a group of thinkers in the field of Quranic research on various early and latent Tafsir trends from trendological and pathological views. The present book, as the second volume of this series, continues the seven types of Tafsir trends discussed in the first volume and studies the analytical and pathological aspects of nine other Tafsir processes, each of which has been of particular importance in the past and contemporary history of Tafsir. Mutazilian, Ash'ari, Fiqh, traditional-literary, contemporary-literary, philosophical, social- rational, eclectic-intellectual, and hermeneutical trends are addressed and analyzed in this volume.
