This dictionary is authored by Abolhossein Ahmad ibn Fars ibn Zakaria (d. 395 AH), which is one of the most valuable and most venerable literal books of Islam and has been unique to all. The authors’ love, passion, mastery and competency in speech is to the extent that he can be called a leading linguist. In addition to this book, he has authored two other books (namely Al-Sahebi and Al-Mojmal).

The proximity of the author's life to the early centuries and his competency in the Arabic language has made this book one of the most remarkable linguistic sources. However, the structural arrangement of the book is such that the scholars and students interested in working with this book should spend a lot of time on learning how to read and find the entries. This is due to the special arrangement considered by the author. Although this type pf arrangement is unique, the contemporary researchers do not like the style since everything in the present era is established based on convenience and feasibility. Hence the book was revised using a modern arrangement of words in order to allow scientific communities to have a new approach to this treasure and to document and refer to this book in their articles and books. To this end, a few measures were adopted:

1. Revising and comparing poetry and poetry evidences with collections of poems (Diwans) and some other vocabulary books such as Lesan al-Arab and al-Ain;

2. Extracting the verses of the Holy Quran and writing down the surah and the verse number;

3. Inserting an independent root for Rubāʿī and Khamasi words presented in the original text at the end of each chapter;

4. Referring "Mo’tal al-lam" and, possibly, "Mahmooz al-lam" with devising the roots to the roots in which the word is elaborated and explained;

5. Alphabetizing all words, including Sanāʿī, Salāʿsī, Rubāʿī, and Khamasi;

6. Including the footnotes of the original book in the language metrics orders;

7. Including a majority of the original book references in the language metrics orders; and

8. Referring the footnotes of the original book - some of which were to the volume and page- to the root of each word
