From a historical point of view, narrative Tafsir has had a commendable role in preserving the narrative legacies of Tafsir and modifying some of the rival trends. In this regard, irrespective of some broad approaches in the narrative trend, the extreme branch of this trend is examined and criticized as an approach raised with an emphasis on adopting narrative resources in the Tafsir of the Quran, disregarding other sources, and holding no critical analytical view to the narratives among the Sunni and Shia. In this book, based on the ijtihadi Tafsir method and its narrative-cognitive principles, a critical view to the current issue is adopted. From another perspective, serious criticism is raised regarding the natural problems of Tafsir narratives in different aspects of their expansion and distribution, the foundations and practical methods of the followers of this trend, and its consequences and results.
