تاریخ امام حسن(ع) از دو سو مورد تحریف و دست‌اندازی دشمنان آن حضرت قرار گرفته است. از یک سو، امویان به دلیل رویارویی امام حسن(ع) با آنان و از دیگر سوی، عباسیان که پس از پیروزی و ظهور جنبش‌های سادات حسنی علیه آنان، تیغ تبلیغات خود را متوجه جدّ بزرگوارشان، امام حسن مجتبی(ع) کردند. نتیجه دشمنی امویان و عباسیان و عواملی دیگری، گزارش‌های فراوان ساختگی، تحریف‌شده و آشفته‌ای است که در منابع اهل‌سنت و حتی شیعه علیه امام حسن(ع) راه یافته است. این پژوهش با توجه به این دشواری‌ها، کوشیده است تا مقاطع چالش‌برانگیز و قابل‌تأمل را در بخش زیست‌نامه، سیره اخلاقی ـ اجتماعی، علمی ـ فرهنگی، اقتصادی و بخشی از سیره سیاسی آن حضرت تا قبل از امامت مورد توجه خاص قرار دهد و با نقد و بررسی اسناد و منابع، گامی در جهت ارائه تصویری صحیح از تاریخ امام حسن(ع) ارائه نماید.

The history of Imam Hasan (a.s.) has been distorted and tampered with by his enemies. On the one hand, the Umayyads because of the confrontation of Imam Hassan (a.s.) with them, and on the other hand, the Abbasids, who after the victory and emergence of Sadat Hasani's movements against them, directed their propaganda towards their noble ancestor Imam Hassan Mojtabi (a.s.). As a result of the enmity between the Umayyads and the Abbasids and other factors, there are many fake, distorted and chaotic reports that have been published against Imam Hasan (a.s.) in Sunni and even Shia sources. Considering these difficulties, this research has tried to pay special attention to the challenging and thought-provoking episodes in the biography, moral-social, scientific-cultural, economic, and part of the political life of the Holy Prophet before the Imamate. By criticizing and reviewing documents and sources, take a step towards providing a correct picture of the history of Imam Hassan (a.s.)
