‏«جامعه‌پذیری سیاسی» برای اعضای جدید جامعه مستلزم حفظ، انتقال و تعمیق ارزش‌های سیاسی و ‏اجتماعی مطلوب و از بایسته‌های استواری یک نظام سیاسی است و «حکومت» به‌عنوان یکی از عوامل ‏جامعه‌پذیری سیاسی، در جامعه‌پذیرساختن یا به عکس ممانعت از جامعه‌پذیری اعضای جامعه نقشی ‏پررنگ دارد. امیرمؤمنان (ع) در نهج‌البلاغه، به نقش و تأثیر حکومت بر اجتماعی‌شدن سیاسی ‏اعضای جامعه در هر دو بعد سلب و ایجاب به زیبایی توجه نشان داده است؛ زیرا حکومت گاهی ‏بستر هدایت، رشد، سعادت، عدالت، مسئولیت‌شناسی و معادباوری را در جامعه به وجود می‌آورد و با ‏یاری‌رسانی افراد در سامان‌دادن زیست سیاسی مطلوب، باعث می‌شود اعضای جامعه عملکرد حکومت و ‏عناصر قدرت را با رویکردی مثبت بنگرند. در برابر، گاهی حکومت با رفتار خود زمینه گرایش به دنیا، ‏فراموشی آخرت، چپاول بیت‌المال، قانون‌گریزی و ستمکاری را در جامعه فراهم می‌آورد و بدین‌سان آنان ‏را از دستیابی به زیست سیاسی مطلوب بازمی‌دارد. در این حالت، نگاه منفی به نقش حکومت میان ‏اعضای جامعه شکل می‌گیرد و تحقق جامعه‌پذیری سیاسی را سترون می‌سازد.

On the other hand, sometimes the government with its behavior provides the ground for worldly orientation, forgetfulness of the hereafter, looting of wealth, lawlessness, oppression and the like for the society and thus prevents them from achieving a desirable political life. In this case, a negative view of the role of the government is formed among the members of the society, and it makes the realization of political socialization sterile.
