This book aims to articulate "Islamic Social Work" as a complete and independent theory, addressing the theoretical void in a field dominated by extreme positivist approaches. Relying on a foundational analytical-descriptive methodology and drawing upon authentic Islamic sources and interdisciplinary knowledge, it seeks to generate new knowledge and expand the frontiers of this discipline. Its five-chapter structure progresses from general concepts and contemporary specializations toward explaining the epistemological rationale for these specializations based on "Maqasid al-Shari'ah" (the Objectives of Islamic Law), culminating in systematic theorizing. The core innovation lies in proposing an Islamic framework for professional specialization, transforming practice areas into arenas for fulfilling the ultimate objectives of Sharia and designing legitimate, effective, and sustainable interventions.
