روانشناسی سیاسی یکی از شاخههای جذاب روانشناسی اجتماعی است که با پرشورترین رفتارهای جمعی بشر سروکار دارد. این دانش بهعنوان حوزهای جدید و میانرشتهای با هدف واکاوی کنشها و حوادث سیاسی بر اساس نظریهها و مفاهیم روانشناختی، به درک عمیقتر رفتارهای سیاسی سیاستمداران و تودههای مردم کمک شایانی میکند. با اینکه طی سالهای اخیر آثار خوبی در این حوزه تألیف یا ترجمه شدهاند؛ ولی نظر به گسترش روزافزون موضوعات این رشته، نگارش کتابی که حاوی جدیدترین مباحث و پژوهشهای روانشناسی سیاسی با رویکردی کاربردی باشد، ضروری مینمود. برایناساس نگارنده کوشیده است مهمترین مباحث روانشناسی سیاسی مانند شخصیت و سیاست، ویژگیهای روانشناختی رهبران سیاسی، کارکرد روانی رسانهها و شبکههای اجتماعی، فرایندهای روانشناختی انتخابات و رقابتهای سیاسی، روانشناسی نظامهای سیاسی، تروریسم و سیره سیاسی پیامبر اسلام(ص) و امام علی(ع) را با بیانی ساده و روان توضیح دهد. گفتنی است که برای نخستین بار، در پایان هر فصل، آموزههای کاربردی ارائه شده است که بهرههای عملی این دانش برای عموم مردم ملموستر گردد.

Political psychology is one of the fascinating branches of social psychology that deals with the most exciting social behaviors of humans. This knowledge, as a new and interdisciplinary field with the aim of analyzing political actions and events based on psychological theories and concepts, help us to understand the political behaviors of politicians and masses. Although in recent years have been written good books in this field; But considering expansion the headlines of this field, it was necessary to write a book that contains the latest topics and researches of political psychology with a practical approach. Therefore, the author has tried to explain the most important topics of political psychology such as personality and politics, psychological characteristics of political leaders, psychological functions of media and social networks, psychological processes of elections and political competitions, psychology of political regimes, terrorism and the political behaviors of the prophet of Islam and Imam Ali in a simple and fluent manner. It should be noted that, for the first time, end of chapter of each chapter, practical guidelines are provided in such a way as to render the applied benefits of this knowledge more tangible to the general public.
