دوره امام صادق(ع)هم‌ترین دوره‌های اثرگذار تاریخی با تحولات کلان علمی ـ فرهنگی بود. ظهور آرا و افکاری متنوع بستری مناسب برای شکل‎‌گیری، گسترش و رقابت جریان‎‌های فکری مختلف بود، که گاهی به داد و ستد و زمانی به نقد و تعارض کشیده می‎‌شد. امام(ع) با شناخت دقیق از دین، جامعه و اقتضاءات زمانی نقش راهبردی خود را در عرصه اندیشه و رفتار نشان داد و با تأسیس مکتبی ماندگار و کارآمد همگان را وام‌دار خود کرد. تحقیق پیش‌رو، سیره علمی ـ فرهنگی آن امام(ع) را با استفاده از همه ظرفیت‌های پژوهشی و منابع گوناگون با رویکردی تاریخی، تحلیلی و انتقادی مطالعه می‎‌کند تا بتواند به واقعیت‌های آن دوره نزدیک شود و راهبردها و راهکارهای آن امام8 را در عرصه‎‌های مختلف علمی‌ ـ فرهنگی تبیین کند. در هندسه این نوشتار فضای علمی ـ فرهنگیِ دوره امام صادق8 جریان‎‌های فکری آن دوره، شاخه‌های مختلف علوم، میراث علمی امام8 و مفهوم‌سازی در سیره آن حضرت بررسی شده است.

The era of Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) represents one of the most influential historical periods, characterized by significant scientific-cultural transformations. The emergence of diverse ideas fostered a conducive environment for the formation, expansion, and competition of various intellectual currents, which occasionally facilitated dialogue and exchange, while at other times led to critique and conflict. With a profound understanding of religion, society, and the prevailing conditions, Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) played a strategic role in shaping thought and behavior. By establishing a lasting and effective school of thought, he profoundly influenced all who engaged with his teachings. This research investigates the scientific- cultural legacy of Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) through all research capacities and a variety of sources. It employs a historical, analytical, and critical approach to unveil the realities of that era and to elucidate the strategies and tactics employed by the Imam (a.s.) across various scientific- cultural domains. Within the framework of this study, the scientific- cultural landscape of Imam al-Sadiq's (a.s.) time, the prevailing intellectual currents, the diverse branches of knowledge, the scientific legacy of the Imam (a.s.), and the conceptualization of his legacy are thoroughly explored.
