کتاب حاضر به بررسی نقش فرهنگی و تاریخی خاندان میثم تمار، یکی از خاندان‌های برجسته شیعه در سه قرن نخست هجری، می‌پردازد. میثم تمار، از یاران امام علی8 و سرسلسله این خاندان، به همراه فرزندان و نوادگان خود نقشی مهم در حفظ و انتقال میراث اهل‌بیتb داشت. این خانواده، که خاستگاه اصلی آن کوفه و انتسابش به قبیله بنواسد بود، با نگارش و روایت احادیث اهل‌بیتb سهم بسزایی در تقویت فرهنگ تشیع ایفا کردند.
کتاب در سه فصل تنظیم شده است: فصل اول، اخبار، روایات و کتاب‌های مرتبط با میثم و فرزندانش را بررسی کرده است .فصل دوم، شامل نوادگان میثم تمار و فعالیت‌های فرهنگی و روایی آنان است که عمدتاً در عصر امام صادق8 فعالیت می‌کردند. فصل سوم، به احفاد و نبیره‌گان میثم و دیگر وابستگان خاندان اختصاص یافته است، که آنان نیز در نقل روایات اهل‌بیت(ع) نقش داشتند.
این پژوهش با تحلیل دقیق منابع روایی و تاریخی، میراث خانوادگی میثم تمار را در زمینه فرهنگ شیعی تبیین می‌کند و جایگاه این خاندان را به عنوان حلقه‌ای مهم در انتقال معارف اهل‌بیت(ع) نشان می‌دهد.

The Family of Maytham al-Tammar

The book “The Family of Meysam al-Tammar” examines the cultural and historical role of the Meysam al-Tammar family, one of the prominent Shiite families during the first three centuries of the Islamic calendar. Meysam al-Tammar, a companion of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the head of this family, along with his children and descendants, played an important role in preserving and transmitting the heritage of Ahl al-Bayt (the Prophet’s family). This family, originally from Kufa and affiliated with the Banu Asad tribe, significantly contributed to strengthening Shiite culture through writing and narrating the traditions of Ahl al-Bayt. The book is organized into three chapters:
• The first chapter reviews the reports, narrations, and books related to Meysam and his children.
• The second chapter focuses on Meysam al-Tammar’s descendants and their cultural and narrational activities, primarily during the era of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him).
• The third chapter is dedicated to Meysam’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as other related family members who also played roles in transmitting the narrations of Ahl al-Bayt.
Through a detailed analysis of narrational and historical sources, this research clarifies the familial heritage of Meysam al-Tammar within Shiite culture and highlights the family’s important position as a vital link in the transmission of the knowledge of Ahl al-Bayt.
